SUMMARY:Corporate Governance Best Practices: IT\, Digital Transformation\, AI\, and Cyber Success & Resiliency-November 24\,2025 (Virtual)-Part 1 of a 2 Part Series
DESCRIPTION:The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present Corporate Governance Best Practices: IT\, Digital Transformation\, AI\, and Cyber Success & Resiliency a two part 60-minute online seminar designed to provide practical governance best practices in the IT industry being held on November 24\,2025 and November 28\,2025. \n\n \n\nSeveral factors are changing the corporate leadership and governance landscape. First\, there is an acute increase in the regulatory oversight of Board qualifications\, decision making and effectiveness. Second\, shareholder activism and the aggressive assertion of owners' rights continues its steep increase. Third\, the aggressive reach of onshore tax authorities and more onerous financial audit standards are greatly increasing the transparency of management and Board decision making. Fourth\, the global economic uncertainties in the midst of trade wars\, escalating military conflicts and the rise of aggressive cybercrime and attacks on public and private sector operations\, now force business leaders to crowd their list of priorities with survival topics.\n\n \n\nThe adoption of highly efficient\, innovative\, and even transformative technologies and digital solutions can greatly assist with those challenges\, but only if those transformation projects themselves don't pile on even greater risks on to the shoulders of the enterprise. Based on the instructor's 2021 book\, Information Technology Transactions: Business\, Management and Legal Strategies (published by Thomson Reuters\, hardcover 629 pages )\, this two part presentation (comprised of two 60 minute sessions ) will review the corporate governance and leadership best practices for planning\, structuring\, implementing and executing successful IT intensive business transformation projects to maximize business success and resiliency.\n\n \n\nThe seminar will be led by Duncan Card\, Partner and Head of the Privacy Practice at Appleby Bermuda. Duncan is widely regarded as one of Bermuda's leading privacy law experts and is a frequent contributor to The Royal Gazette on matters relating to PIPA\, technology contracts\, and outsourcing transactions.
